Beth Henley Collaboration

Summer/Fall 2021 Materials: polymer clay Available!

This series of magnets was created as a collaboration between Sarah and local painter, muralist, and fiber artist, Beth Henley! Beth painted a beautiful picture and Sarah built it into a polymer clay cane, collaborating at every stage. The textured hair features patches of glowing clay, inspired by the idea of tilting your head to the sky and admiring the stars, is also a nod to Beth’s use of light and texture in her own work. Each magnet is unique depending on where it was within the reduced cane.
